Weekly Campaign Newsletter July 28, 2010 Dear Constituents, Just 47 days until the Primary Election on Tuesday, September 14th, and then another 49 days until the General Election on Tueday, November 2nd. With fewer than 100 total days remaining, the pace of the campaign is really picking up. Door knocking and waving at traffic is a daily ritual. Every weekday morning I can be seen at one of the major intersections in the district along with one or more of my teammates or volunteers. We continue to receive very positive responses from motorists and pedestrians. This past week, I knocked on doors in Lutherville, Towson and Pikesville. While door knocking this past Saturday, we collected 20 new lawn sign locations! Speaking of signs, they're coming soon. We have identified several hundred locations -- both residential and commercial -- that would like a sign. We're all anxious to have them delivered and installed. Once they're up, they will make an enormous imp! act. (Last night) Tonight is the annual picnic of the 42nd District Republican Club at President Julianne Grim's house. We're apparently expecting close to 100 club members to attend. What a great club of grassroots activists! Tonight, the club issues its formal candidate endorsements for various offices. I'm hopeful of receiving one, and it would be a privilege to be endorsed by this influential group of GOP activists. If you're a member of the club, I ask for your support. This Thursday, I'll be at the Towson Farmers Market, and on Friday, I will be at the weekly "Feet on the Street" celebration in Towson. These are always great places to meet new friends. And on Saturday, I plan to spend many, many hours knocking on doors once again. We'll keep working hard. We'll drop you another line next week.
