Weekly Campaign Newsletter from Delegate Bill Frank
Dear Constituents,
The last week was full of campaign activity, voter outreach and fundraising. This past Sunday, I attended the fabulous Freedom Celebration at Trinity Assembly of God. Each year, Trinity honors our country, and pays tribute to our military and civil servants. It is always a moving celebration and this year was no exception. Thanks to Pastor George Rudano for inviting me.
Afterward, I attended the farewell Mass and reception for Fr. Michael Foppiano at my church, Immaculate Conception, in Towson. Fr. Foppiano is continuing his ministry at St. John's in Severna Park. At the farewell reception, I presented him with a congratulatory citation from the House of Delegates. Fr. Foppiano is a wonderful priest and we'll miss him.
Last Saturday, Mary Jeanne and I attended the annual fireworks display at College Manor in Lutherville, as well as the Fr. O'Neill Knights of Columbus picnic, with my teammates Delegate Susan Aumann and John Fiastro. We saw lots of friends and neighbors, and met lots of new friends too.
Of course, we were able to squeeze in quite a lot of door knocking despite the oppressive heat. We're continuing to knocks on doors in an organized and systematic way throughout the sprawling district. We're receiving a very good response. Most mornings are dedicated to sign waving. During the last week, you might have seen us at York & Burke; Dulaney Valley & Fairmount; Smith & Greenspring; or Providence & Goucher.
Our last Towson July 4th Parade Committee meeting was held Monday, July 28. It's been an honor to serve as a committee member, and I've thoroughly enjoyed it. Maryann Albaugh, our great chairman, has done an absolutely tremendous job. We're looking forward to walking in the parade this Saturday, July 3rd. I'm also part of the "Bucket Brigade," collecting donations from the crowd to help defray the costs of next year's parade. Please be generous and support our efforts, since this is an all-volunteer effort and we receive no government funding. We rely solely on individual and corporate donations.
A final note of thanks to all who attended and supported my re-election kickoff and Flag Day fundraiser on June 17th at the Towson American Legion. Thanks to the generosity of many friends, we raised $15,200 and had more than 200 attendees. We are well prepared for the upcoming campaign.
The coming week brings more sign waving and door knocking. On Wednesday morning, I'm having a breakfast meeting with our stellar candidate for County Executive, Ken Holt. Ken is quietly but very effectively making lots of important connections throughout the county.
Much more to tell you about, but I'll keep it brief......until next week, have a Happy and Glorious Independence Day. May God continue to bless our beloved United States of America!
Delegate Bill Frank
